The South Gippsland Hospital Community Foundation manages bequests to the hospital and for the benefit of earth services in the Corner Inlet area to ensure the generosity shown by patrons will not be lost from the community.
The Foundation operates as a separate entity from the hospital and has its own board of management. Foundation Board members are:

The Foundation is a Fixed Trust and is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Item2, section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
Management of Funds
Gifts and bequests are held in investment funds and the interest or income returns are used to fund services and equipment. This ensure the longevity of health services by providing an ongoing income stream.
Disbursements from the Foundation
In 2016 the Foundation Board made a grant of $10,000 to assist the Diabetes Management and Education Clinic at he hospital’s Community Health Centre.
